The three garage weak points
- The side entry door — often a hollow door with a bargain knob. It deserves a real deadbolt and reinforced strike like any exterior door.
- The opener — clear old remotes and codes after moving in or any turnover; re-pair only what you own.
- The house door — the door from garage to kitchen is an exterior door in disguise. Deadbolt it.
